Kickstarting his musical career, Daniel’s passion for music arose when he was very young, through his father’s influence of being a pastor, the young boy was able to play different music instruments at his young age, he was able to play guitar, mandolin, ukulele, piano, cello, and violin when he was just 10 years old.
Daniel traveled alongside with his father to Portland severally to perform in the streets for art walks, his first performance was his cover version of Someone Like You, a song originally released by Adele. Daniel improved his musical and instrumental skills as time goes on, he first competed in the 14th season of American Idol where he auditioned with “Straight Up” a song by Paula Abdul in San Francisco and won his first-ever ticket to Hollywood, meanwhile he was still in high school when he participated in the competition before he finally graduated in the year 2017.
During the Hollywood round part one “acapella”, Daniel performed “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran and was applauded for the performance, he then performed “Story of My Life” in a group performance which includes Trevor Douglas, Qaasim Middleton, and Savion Wright, Daniel matched forward to part 3 of the Hollywood round and performed “I See Fire” by Ed Sheeran.
Furthermore, Seavey chooses “Straight Up” by Paula Abdul during the Showcase week and was enabled to perform “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz in the Top 24, therefore, daniel was picked for the Top 16 where he presented “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)” by Marvin Gaye.
