Gabrielle Aplin is an English songwriter/ singer who was born Gabrielle Ann Aplin in Chippenham, Wiltshire, England, the United Kingdom on the 10th of October 1992. she was 28 years old as of the year 2020.
Gabrielle was born in the linage of the Aplins and grew up in Sutton Benger village. she began having insights and passion for singing at a very young age. Her passion for music was awoken through the influence of the American singer, songwriter, and musician “Bruce Springsteen” and a Canadian singer-songwriter “Joni Mitchell” music collection by her parents since her early childhood age when she was 11 years old after her parents realized her passion for singing, they brought her a guitar.

Gabrielle kicked off with the posting of acoustic covers of songs on her YouTube channel like many other stars do. Gradually, she began gaining public attention which boomed shortly after posting some other cover videos on her YouTube channel.
On the 13th of September 2010, Gabrielle self-released her first-ever 5-track Acoustic Extended Play [EP] right under her own record label “Never Fade Records” which she created in conjunction with James Barnes. The EP topped the UK iTunes album chart top 25.
With the great success of her 5-track Acoustic EP, she thereafter rolled out her second Extended Play [EP] on the 9th of May 2011, which she dubbed Never Fade right under her record label. The EP came with a new mind-blowing performance as she showcases more folk-rock sounds, playing all the instruments herself with the superb flow.
Later in 2011, Aplin was allowed to play three tracks out of her freshly released EP “Never Fade” with her music cover of “Fix You“, a song by a British rock band “Cloud Play” after she was invited to perform for BBC Introducing at Maida Vale Studios.
On the 12th of February 2012, Aplin released her third EP tagged Home, under her record label which she described as her most honest written and records ever released. Her lead track of the EP “Home” was her first song to be played on BBC Radio 1.
Aplin made a choice of signing a record deal with Parlophone Records in February 2012, she then bounced out a new single as the first track of hers under the Parlophone Record label which she titled Please Don’t Say You Love Me and was officially released on the 10 of February 2013 as the second single from her debut studio album “English Rain“.
On the 12th of December 2012, Gabrielle declared that “English Rain” will be her debut album under the Parlophone Record label. The album was then released on the 13th of May 2013 which encompass tracks including Panic Cord, Keep on Walking, How Do You Feel Today, Ready To Question, Salvation, Home and more. English Rain was placed number 2 on both Scottish and United Kingdom album charts, arriving top ten and number 11 in Australia and Ireland, also as the 39th album on New Zealand’s album chart.
With the big fame and international success English Rain gained Gabrielle, she was given two Australian number ones and she was determined to continue with her record label.
Aplin stated that her original record label which was officially launched in 2010 to release her own music will now promote other unrecognized music talents. She firstly signed a supporter of her previous tours who is a Welsh folk-jazz singer “Hannah Grace” and thereafter signed “Saint Raymond” an indie-folk singer.
Saint Raymond released his debut EP on the 22nd of April 2013 under Never Fade Records which he labeled Escapade, although, Gabrielle had to release him to sign a record deal with Asylum, a group under Atlantic Records.
Aplin subsequently further her musical career. 2014 delivered her great achievement as she released her Extended Play “English Rain” officially in the United States plus five featured songs from her debut album.
In 2016, Aplin released her second studio album which she tagged Light Up The Dark. The album contains tracks including Skeleton, Fools Love, Slip Away, Sweet Nothing, Heavy Heart and more.
In 2016, Gabrielle’s popularity boomed in Brazil after signing a modeling deal and appearing in Vogue and GQ fashion spreads. “Home” track which was off her second album was used In “Totalmente Demais” the popular soap opera. Aplin thereafter appeared at Domingão do Faustão to perform “Home” live which was placed number one on the Brazilian iTunes chart.
Miss You single came on the 9th of November 2016, Meanwhile, that happens to be the first single from Aplin’s Miss You EP, followed by the release of another single titled Waking Up Slow, which was released on the 8th of August 2017. The single also came among her 4 tracks EP “Avalon” dropped on the 6th of October 2017.
On the 28th of November 2018, Aplin released her third studio album titled My Mistakes, followed by another single “Nothing Really Matters” released on the 27th of March 2019.
On the 17th of January 2020, Aplin released her fourth album titled Dear Happy.
