Job Title: Biomedical Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining biomedical equipment while working with scientists, specialists and physicians to research and deploy life-changing products and equipment that would improve efficiency and drive the business toward operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research on biomedical technology such as artificial internal organs and body parts, machines, equipment, and software that can be used for diagnosing and treating medical problems.
  • Advise the Management on technical processes that can improve biomedical systems in line with industry technical trends and operations
  • Install and calibrate biomedical machines, equipment, and software.
  • Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical machines, equipment, and software within the facility
  • Maintain and repair biomedical machines and equipment, where and when needed.
  • Regular maintenance of biomedical devices ensuring downtime is reduced and operational equipment efficiency is highly improved
  • Explore preventive and corrective measures on biomedical machines to avoid sudden breakdowns and operational deficiencies
  • Provide technical support to different departments/units as the need arises
  • Keep up-to-date service histories on all biomedical machines and equipment, while liaising with the necessary OEMs.
  • Train clinicians and other personnel on how to use biomedical machines and equipment, safely and effectively.
  • Investigate and explore new materials, technologies, and engineering aspects of biological processes and systems.
  • Write reports and documents detailing protocols, policies, standards of use, maintenance, and repairs of biomedical equipment, machines, and software.
  • Disseminate knowledge about the biomedical operating equipment (and procedures) to process owners through writing, teaching and training.

Person Specification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
  • Professional Licensed Engineer with the Nigerian Institute for Biomedical Engineering (NIBE) or any other related certification/licensure
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven solid experience working within the field of biomedical engineering.
  • Good knowledge managing wide-ranging diagnostics equipment including Pathology, Radiology and Cardiology equipment
  • Proven experience supervising other team members
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Great eye for design and the technical ability to transform research into reality.
  • Exceptional team-working and communication skills.

Salary
N250,000 – N350,000 monthly gross (this depends on experience and skill level).

Job Title: Gastroenterologis

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Hours: Mondays through Fridays (8am-5pm) – might be required to work extended hours as necessary
Work Structure: On-site/Hybrid/Remote

Job Summary

  • Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Gastroenterologist. The Gastroenterologist will deploy expertise in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal and hepatological diseases of patients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Consult with patients to understand their health concerns and carry out proper diagnosis
  • Perform specialized tests to diagnose patients and advise on necessary treatments or preventive measures where required
  • Determine the proper courses or requirements for treatment.
  • Consult with a patient’s key physician to understand trends and advise on necessary course of action
  • Analyze patient historical data and advise on future medical care as necessary
